Kindergarten Mentor Program

Each of our community mentors meets with 1 or 2 kindergarten students once a month during the school year to share books. Finding a comfortable spot somewhere in the library, mentors read aloud and discuss stories and experiences with their kindergarteners. These mentors serve as positive role models and show kids the joy and fun that books can provide. Each session lasts about 15 minutes.

We would like to have a reading mentor for every kindergarten child this year. Our program begins in October and lasts through April. If you are interested in being a part of our program, please contact Kris Cobb at 337-5464.
